Welcome! Here you will find current and upcoming classes being offered. There are online courses that range from 4-12 weeks. There is also a new asynchronous class being offered!
The Philosophy
“Workshop” is an outdated term. It implies that art is only produced through labor and that its value is determined solely through economic means.
The idea of the “studio” is to build a community of writers in a setting that is safe and inclusive. It is a space that inspires artistic expression, not one that demands labor for the sake of production.
Online Studios
Hip-Hop Poetics
A 4 week studio about the exciting ways that lyricism informs modern poetics.

Accelerated MFA
A 9 week studio that will give you an MFA experience at a fraction of the cost.

Young Writers Studio
An 6 week studio in which you will build a community with fellow writers while giving and receiving feedback.

Asynchronous Studios
Poetry Revision
A 6 week studio with video seminars, readings, and feedback sessions.

Enrollment
Each studio has a minimum enrollment of 3 students, and a maximum enrollment of 12 students. You must be 18 years or older to attend a studio with the exception of the Young Writers Studio, for which you must be attending high school to register.

Pay the full amount for the studio at a discounted rate.
Payment plan
Pay in monthly installments to fulfill the non-discounted price.

Full refunds are issued if requested at least 1 week before the studio begins.
Partial refunds are issued if requested less than 1 week before studio begins.
